Escape from Tarkov keys feel like progress until you die on the door. A key run with no extract plan is just a longer scav run for someone else.
One map, a short key list
Bring two keys you know, not twelve you might use. Extra keys are slots you cannot fill with meds.
If the door is already open, you are late. Leave. Third parties live on marked rooms.
Order the locks
Do high-value rooms first only if the path is quiet. Otherwise do a safe room on the way to extract.
Never sit in a doorway to sort a secure container. Move to a dead stairwell.
Keys are a budget line
If a key costs more than you make in five raids, stop using it until you can afford the deaths.
