Escape from Tarkov scavs print money when you extract. They print nothing when you hunt PMCs with a shotgun and a dream.
Land, loot a lane, leave
A scav with a backpack of junk still pays. A scav who dies to a PMC pays fence nothing.
Avoid the hottest loot room unless the raid timer is late and the gunfire has moved.
Cooldown is a resource
If you have a PMC quest, scav around it, not instead of it forever. Cooldown should fill gaps, not replace your main raids.
Fence unlocks matter more than one extra GPU you will not survive to extract.
PMC identification
If you are unsure, do not swing. Scav-on-scav grief is how you lose karma and the bag.
